The Social Administration works to ensure that all citizens can receive the support they may need in various situations. This is done within the framework of social services' mission and various legislations, as well as based on the values of the Social Administration. This may involve home care, special housing, advice and support for people with disabilities, financial assistance, or help with substance abuse problems. The municipality's competency supply unit is also part of the administration.

The Social Administration is divided into five areas: Home Care, Care and Nursing Homes, Health and Medical Care, Individual and Family Care, and the area for people with disabilities.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Mainly to plan and follow up on children placed in foster homes, based on the BBIC structure.
  • Write considerations.
  • Conduct investigations regarding custody transfers.
  • Assess and write reports on visitation restrictions and/or drug testing.
  • Be a co-handler for other child handlers.

The position is referred to as Child Handler. The group currently has three handlers and will be expanded to five. We will handle placement cases for Degerfors Municipality.

QUALIFICATIONS

Degree in Social Work.

Driver's license is required as the position involves travel.

BBIC training and experience in investigating children and adolescents are advantageous.

Personal qualities sought are secure, structured, relationship-building, collaborative, and analytical.

To work in close contact with clients and patients, you must provide a police record extract. You must request the extract from the Swedish Police Authority using the form "Extract from the Criminal Record" available on the police's website.
